Products
Parts to make a car project easier to build
All the products that I make are made to make life easier when making
a project. Most products are created for one of two reasons:
- There is currently no easy way of getting the product
- It's easy enough to get a part, but the companies selling the
part seem to be charging an inordinate amount of money!
Most products are manufacturered from laser cut steel, and then
fabricated up the garage. Most products are then powder coated, but
some products do not need painting.
Because most of us are making car projects, and ENJOY making the bits
that go into our projects, I have now decided to also offer every
part I get laser cut as a flat profile. That way, if you really do
fancy making something yourself, you can. Generally you won't need
more than a welder and something to bend with. I use a flypress to
fold metal, it gives a lot better results than something like a
vice and a hammer! Look at the gauge of material that is used, generally
up to 3mm is not too hard to do in a vice (but is still not great), but
the 5mm thick engine mount kits will require a press of some sort to
bend.
